So my friend Luke's brother needed another guy on his team for spartan on friday night, so I said I would do it! No big deal right? Wrong this was my actual first Half Marathon. Adding 25 obstacles into it didn't help my case.

This was probably the toughest overall thing I have ever done. The running wasn't too hard but throwing in 30 burpees because I couldn't lift a 100lb bag, that took a toll I failed maybe 6 of the obstacles. But still was able to finish first on my team by maybe 20 or 30 minutes.

I'm not going to say "It sucked" as I usually do because it was enjoyable. I had tons of fun even though it was challenging. They haven't posted the times yet so I put in a random time in. I will put my time in when it shows up on the website, probably later today.

Update:

I got a 3:14:59 and took 282nd Greg Greenwood ran 2:48:39 and took 72nd. Yes coach Lt. Dan would have died as well as myself if I was the one trying to save him. ;) I actually had to raise the 100lbs bag up 25ft on a pulley and back down without dropping it to clarify. :)

So basically, unlike Forrest Gump, you wouldn't be able to carry the wounded Lt. Dan off the battlefield?

This is a race report I was not expecting to see! :-)
